Patricia Johnston

The Journey

Patricia has lived and worked in Camden since 1959 and her work is inspired by its beautiful countryside.
Her formal studies as an artist include a Diploma from the Royal Art Society of NSW (1987) a Diploma of Fine Arts from Campbelltown TAFE majoring in printmaking in 2007. Patricia has the highest recognition as a Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW, awarded in 1998.
She has won many awards and exhibited in many shared exhibitions and has had 6 exhibitions as a solo artist, including one in California, USA. In 2012 Patricia won First prize for the watercolour "White roses", a study of white on white, at the Combined Art Societies of Sydney exhibition, Darling Harbour.  Again in 2020 she won First prize in the watercolour section for "Gum Blossoms".
Patricia has tutored in Tuscany, Italy and locally at Art Societies in Scone, Bowral District, Central Coast, Wollondilly and Fairfield.
For 15 years Patricia has lead art and cultural tours to Europe and combines her love of travel with watercolour studies done on site to produce sparkling fresh work...
